Share our Strength’s Taste of the Nation® Atlanta

presented by American Express, this event will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Georgia Aquarium. Taste of the Nation will feature more than 50 of Atlanta’s premier chefs and restaurants. Tom Colicchio, chef and owner of Craft Restaurants, head judge on Bravo’s Top Chef and recipient of five James Beard Foundation Awards, will serve as honorary chef, and Ted Turner and his daughter Laura Turner Seydel are the honorary chairpersons. The event will be chaired by Pano Karatassos, founder of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, and George McKerrow, President/CEO of Ted’s Montana Grill. A live, silent and wine auction as well as live entertainment will be featured. Local anti-hunger and anti-poverty programs including The Atlanta Community Food Bank, Genesis, A New Life and Project Open Hand will receive 100 percent of net proceeds from Taste of the Nation. Tickets are $350 for VIP (6:30 pm - 10:00 pm) and $250 for General Admission (7:30 pm - 10:00 pm).
